Hi, I’m Oleh.
Husband-and-wife team. 2+ years. Houston, Texas.
We aren’t a massive agency, and we don’t sub out our work. When you book us, you get us. We show up when we said we would, with the right tools, and treat your home the way we’d want ours treated. Drop cloths down, hardware off, edges sharp.
We keep the list short on purpose: wallpaper and murals, kitchens and baths, accent and media walls, and art hung properly. They share the same skills — wall prep, straight lines, clean edges — so none of them is a sideline. What’s outside that scope we tell you up front and refer you to someone we trust.
What clients say
4.9 ★ across 229 verified reviews on Thumbtack and Yelp.
“Highly recommend! I contacted them late last night after a very heavy picture above my fireplace fell and I was afraid the glass was going to break. They came out today for a very reasonable price, got it down safely, and rehung it correctly. It's finally level, straight, and centered! Very nice husband-and-wife team, and I'll definitely use them again.”

“After my entire closet shelving system collapsed and damaged the drywall, I reached out to several companies online. This team responded immediately. Not only did they repair and reinstall the original shelving, but they also reinforced the shelves in two additional closets to prevent future issues. The owners are exceptionally punctual, professional, and courteous. They took the time to answer all my questions and offered great recommendations. I highly recommend their services and will definitely hire them again!”

“I've never been happier! They were so professional, conscientious and precise. Truly perfectionists! Great communication before and during the project, very neat and clean. I have used 3 other art installation companies thru the years and this team did the best quality job I have EVER had. I cannot recommend them highly enough!”

FAQ
Quick answers.
Have a question we did not cover? Call or text — fastest way to get a real answer.
What services do you offer?
These, and only these: kitchen & bath remodeling, custom accent & media walls, custom art installations, and premium wallpaper installation. Wallpaper covers murals and scenic panels, grasscloth and natural textures, designer paper, ceilings and stairwells, plus the level-5 skim coating and priming that goes underneath. They all lean on the same skills — wall prep, straight lines, clean edges — so none of them is a sideline. We would rather keep the list short and do it properly. If a job falls outside it, we will tell you up front and point you to someone we trust.
Are you insured?
Yes. Old Pirate Construction is a Texas LLC carrying general liability insurance and a $1M umbrella policy. Certificates available on request before work begins.
What areas do you serve?
Houston metro — roughly a 40-mile radius from downtown: Houston (Inner Loop & Memorial), Sugar Land & Missouri City, Katy & Richmond, The Woodlands & Conroe, Cypress & Spring, and Pearland & League City. If you are not sure whether you are in range, just ask and we will tell you straight.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. For small jobs we can usually quote over the phone or from photos. For anything larger we come to your home, walk the job, and email a written estimate within a business day. No charge for the visit.
How quickly can you come out?
We reply to every message within one business day. Most non-urgent jobs are scheduled within the week. Same-week and next-day slots open up regularly — call or text and we will tell you the soonest we can get there.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — a half-year workmanship guarantee on the labor side of every job. If something we installed fails because of how we installed it, we come back and fix it at no charge.
